HCF SHOE DRIVE - TORONTO


This summer we focused on a Shoe Drive to inspire and support passionate youth in sports as well as creating the awareness of the HCF Peace Ambassadors Project in Nigeria. HarryCares Foundation (HCF) has partnered with Ryan Wright, A Canadian Professional athlete to spearhead this project.

Redbull Project 381 played host to the Charity  Art – AvanteGarde night on July 20th, 2018 in Toronto, Canada. This will bring like minded individuals from all walks of life.



JANUARY 8TH, 2018

NBA AND NBA G LEAGUE PLAYERS LEARN ABOUT NON-PROFIT MANAGEMENT


As part of the Raptors 905 in-season team level intership, the following players Fuquan Edwin and Bruno Caboclo had an internship day based on their interest in Non-Profit Management. Both players learned about the operations and management of Giants of Africa and HarryCares Foundation. Both Players where accompanied by Founder of HarryCares Foundation, Harry Ezenibe and Sue Karuvila of Giants of Africa.

JULY 7TH, 2017

UPDATE:

Destiny Igwe 12, a recipient (replacing Chris) of the HCF Sponsor a Child Project will be given a full year of academic and educational opportunity this Fall 2017/2018. He wants to be a Mechanical/Automobile Engineer.

 

 

MAY, 2017

HCF SPONSOR A CHILD PROJECT

Thanks to everyone who came out and contributed to the HCF SPONSOR A CHILD PROJECT and raised funds to ensure that Gloria, Faith and Chris (now replaced by Destiny Igwe) are given full year of Educational/academic opportunity and growth - most importantly the KareBear community for using their platform to support this cause - BIGGER THAN HOOP DREAMS.

FEBRUARY 5TH, 2015.

HCF BOOK DRIVE

In an effort to encouraging reading and early child development in Nigeria: HarryCares in partnering with The Nubian Book Club in Ontario, Canada, and supporting early childhood education through a reading program. All donated books include picture books, chapter books and story books suitable for students between the ages of 3-12 years old. All books will be distributed and shared amongst select schools in Nigeria, where the need for reading books are great.

"A reading nation is a healthy Nation" - Nubian Book Club

Through this initiative, the Canadian students and families will be made aware of some global living conditions experienced by kids and how their contribution can make a positive difference in a child’s life.

FEBRUARY 22ND, 2015.

Meet Kadiatu Barrie, one of the Recipients of the HarryCares Ticket Giveaway. She is a Grade 11 Honour Roll Student at Westview Centennial Secondary School in Toronto. A deserving student who excels in academics and athletics: she competes in Cross Country, Sr. Girls Basketball team, is the Captain of the Sr. Girls Volleyball team, and is the Communication Officer for a leadership group called Generation Change. She participated in a community Toy Drive delivered to women shelters, and she is also the athletic representative on student council at Westview with an aspiration of being a Lawyer someday.

DECEMBER 5TH, 2014

THE HARRYCARES TICKET GIVEAWAY

Starting from the Month of December 2014 to the end of the NBA regular season in 2015 a deserving student from the Toronto District School Board and other communities surrounding the Greater Toronto Area will be given the opportunity to attend a selected Toronto Raptors NBA Game at the ACC in Toronto. The students will be selected my their respective teachers/instructors based on their hard work in the classroom and respective communities while exhibiting other leadership qualities as evaluated by their instructors.

The recipient, and their guest will have the opportunity to sit court-side during the Raptors Pre-Game Shoot-Around before heading to their respective seats. This Initiative is a start of a great cause to reach out to neighboring communities around Toronto.
