HARRY'S BIO:
Drawing on over a decade of dedicated leadership, Harry has cultivated a diverse and impactful professional journey. He excels as a strategic thinker, consistently creating social impact and dismantling barriers that hinder access to opportunities for underserved communities. His extensive global network and rich experience bridge the realms of the business of basketball, entrepreneurship, the non-profit world, and the financial industry.

From his roots in Igbo-Ukwu, Nigeria, and formative years in Kano amidst social unrest where basketball became his sanctuary, Harry's early passion propelled him to the NBA Africa Basketball Without Borders Camp in 2005 and 2006. His athletic journey continued as an exchange athlete in France, Serbia, and Italy before his arrival in Canada for studies in November 2009.

In 2010, his basketball pursuit led him to Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he achieved significant recognition, including the Provincial Nova Scotia Criminal Justice Student Award for his community involvement and the prestigious national Ken Shields Award for excellence across academics, community service, and athletics. An Academic All-Canadian, Harry graduated in 2014 with a double major in Sociology and Criminology, complemented by a Co-op Concentration. His impact was further acknowledged with the 2017 Young Alumnus of the Year Award, and in 2019, he was featured by the university for his extensive community work and global influence through the HarryCares Foundation (https://smu.ca/hereishow/basketball-empowerment.html).

Post-graduation, Harry contributed to the Toronto Raptors Front Office in Player Development (2014-2016) before joining their affiliate, Raptors 905, where they secured the 2017 NBA G-League Championship. In 2017-2018, he served as a Player Development Liaison, supporting former NBA All-Star Jerry Stackhouse and overseeing off-court player programs and NBA player assignments. Harry also managed a personality assessment program for NBA Draft prospects (2015-2018) and volunteered at NBA Global Elite Camps and NBACares initiatives. His commitment extended to coaching with Giants of Africa in Nigeria, Senegal, and Ivory Coast in the summer of 2018.

Transitioning to the tech industry in 2019-2020, Harry became Head of People and Culture at Vish LTD. In 2021, he joined CIBC, leading Inclusion Partnerships to advance the bank's global inclusion strategy and break down barriers to financial access. In 2025, he completed executive-level training in AI & Business Strategy and Managing AI Projects at the University of Waterloo WATSPEED with a structured lens on value creation, 3R models (Replace, Reimagine and Recombine) and the CRISP-DM Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) Methodology.

A dedicated community leader, Harry continues to inspire through the HarryCares Foundation, established in 2008. In November 2020, he launched the HCF Youth Pathways Program to mentor young individuals from underserved communities, equipping them with essential leadership and personal development skills, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to leveraging his experiences for positive global impact.
