HarryCares Foundation Privacy Policy
Who we are
HarryCares Foundation ("HCF", "we", "us") is a nonprofit organization focused on youth empowerment, community development and maternal health in Nigeria and Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through www.harrycares.org.
Information we collect
• Information you give us. Your name and email address when you join our mailing list, and the details you enter in our contact forms or member account.
• Site chat messages. The messages you type into the Chat with AI assistant on our website.
• Donation information. Donations are completed on PayPal. HCF never receives your card details. PayPal sends us your name, email address, donation amount and date, and any note you add. We do not collect donors' mailing addresses.
• Website usage information. Wix and Google automatically collect your browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
• Answer your questions and requests
• Process donations and keep donation records
• Send updates to people who join our mailing list
• Run our programs and events
• Operate and maintain our website
• Measure which Google ads lead to donations
• Meet our legal and tax record-keeping requirements
Cookies and advertising
Our website uses cookies. Wix uses them to run the site and keep members signed in. Google Ads uses them to measure whether a visit from an ad led to a donation. You can turn off ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com and block cookies in your browser settings.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
• Wix, which hosts our website
• PayPal, which processes donations
• Google, which measures our advertising
• Government or law enforcement authorities, when the law requires it
Wix, PayPal and Google operate internationally, so your information can be stored outside Canada and Nigeria, including in the United States.
How long we keep information
We keep mailing list details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We keep contact messages and member account details until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. Email us at the address below.
Children's privacy
Our programs serve young people, but our website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from anyone under 18 without consent from a parent or guardian. We provide both adult and minor waivers, with parental consent, at every event we host.
Keeping information secure
Our website uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Donations are completed on PayPal's website, so card details never reach HCF.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and update the date below.
